Cincom L20 V/VII/VIII

The fastest, most efficient 7-Axis L20-series lathe ever developed by Citizen

The L20 is offered in three model types: Types V,VII, and VIII

When cross machining is required, three cross spindles (standard on type VIII model) can be mounted, totaling eighteen tools: five turning, seven rotary, and six drilling tools.

The three cross spindles can also be used as end-face drilling spindles by rotating the holder 90 degrees.

When end-face machining is required on the front and back, an optional six live tool holder is available. With this tool holder option the L20 now totals 21 tools: five turning, ten rotary, and six drilling tools.

The L20 type VII offers five turning and five live rotary tools (cross milling/drilling) on the gang plate.

When only turning is required, the L20 type V offers five turning tools on the gang plate with no live tools. As future live tool needs may be required, the type V model can be upgraded to a type VII or VIII by purchasing additional live tool holders that easily fit into the existing L20 gang tool plate. This modular concept can support a wide variety of machining processes depending on your current or future parts machining requirements.

Other L20 improvements

  • The work area access door has been widened, enabling easier access to the tooling
  • More power to the coolant pump with a larger capacity tank
  • The chip tank itself and its access door has been increased for longer continuous cutting plus reduces the operator frequency to remove chips
  • Lubrication of the ball screws and ways is now automatic, which improves machine maintenance and performance
